Detroit has a hockey team?

Consider this a Wings post. I’ll comment live during the game.

Zach’s Wings-based intensity is even wilder than usual, perhaps because he’s fled to Chicago and is feeling the guilt that all of us who have abandoned the mitten struggle to deal with.

who’s excited for the NBA final four? i would not be the least bit surprised if any of the four teams won the title. both of these matchups should be battles.

carmelo is apparently on the trading block. via SI.com:
“One proposal contained “a lot of pieces” including the Nets’ pick, Richard Jefferson and Marcus Williams for [Carmelo] Anthony and Marcus Camby”

not sure how that would work cap-wise, because melo and camby each make 10 plus. denver has some bad contracts, like nene at 9 mil a year for 10,000 more years and kmart for a ton for too long.

though if new jersey gets lucky in the lottery, that pick will get a lot more value.
