Through the wire

I descended into the darkest depth of hell—Yankee Stadium in the city of New York. And I’m alive. To be honest, I was shocked by how many Tigers’ fans were there. The guy who took my ticket said that a lot of people seemed to be coming in to get the historical look before they close the place at the end of the season. (If you haven’t heard, the Yanks are moving to Tampa Bay, which now needs a second franchise.)

Considering it was hell and all, it was really damn cold. Forty and pouring rain. Thankfully the section was covered by a deck above us.

How about those Tigers/Pistons/Red Wings? If the Lions worked out a trade for Carson Palmer tonight, the whole world would be ours.

P.S.–Remember when Detroit has a rollerblade hockey team? The Vipers? (I had a hat.) Are they still around?
