If Michigan State did this, I’d have to renounce my own mother because she went there. How can the Ottawa fans be cheering? It’s like a parody of the WWE.

    Uh. Michigan state does this regularly, like every big defensive play at football games. They play the clip from “300” that says “Spartans what is your profession?” and the student section responds with the 3 loud grunts like in the movie. It somehow manages to be both sorta cool and the cheesiest/ lamest crowd interaction possible.

    haha, i know state does the 300 thing, but it’s not as earnest as that whole thing appears.

    do you feel like the senators were in on that joke? it looks pretty ridiculous to me.

    i always thought of the senators more as the old people in robes with gray hair than as the actual warriors of greco-roman times.

    man one year the final four was at the alamo dome so the midnight madness spectacle one a play off the movie The Alamo that bombed at the box office a couple years ago. Complete with izzo riding in on a horse dressed as davey crockett. Paul, dan and I were sitting there in the crowd going WTF?? Needless to say we got bounced in the first round that year.
