The Tigers might lead me to booze/heroin/nacho sauce overdose before this losing is all over.

Here’s the 0-2 pitch: directly down the middle for a three run base cleansing gut shot.

It’s going to be real fun seeing the Tigers lose by a baker’s dozen at Fenway while 40,000 Bostonians laugh and point.

Theme song for the season:

did that come off pessimistic? haha.

i also have a slogan for the season: The 2008 Detroit Tigers—Helping Opponents Practice Double Play Defense!

    our bullpen is struggling.

I don’t even know what to say about the tigers right now. This sucks.

what scares me isn’t that they’re going through a rocky stretch, but that i can’t envision any scenario where this bullpen doesn’t routinely kill us. we’re going to have to always score runs early in the game and try to keep teams out of it.

Yea I mean I’m only the 10 millionth person to say this but this offense will score runs at some point, but at the same time Leyland is right to keep saying that even with this much talent it won’t just happen. They seem like everyone is playing it cool waiting for an explosion. They haven’t looked that focused at the plate they haven’t been working counts. I think it was Friday when Mags went 0-4 and saw a total of 6 pitches all day. He is way too good a hitter for that to happen.

This sheffield injury scares me, I mean it’s great that he’s playing through it, but this seems like the type of deal that could linger and keep him from really being able to impact a game.

Also they miss granderson. A Lot. And Polanco has been a complete non-factor. Basically Inge is the only player performing even close to expectations, and his aren’t that high. I’m depressed.
