I’m not talking about last night’s game

Okay, one thing: you can’t beat a good team shooting seven free throws.

We stunk out the joint.

yea they laid an egg big time. I think the Pistons are better than cleveland but the margin for error isn’t that big. Lebron is so damn good that I don’t like the idea of being involved in close games with them down the stretch.

To me Basketball is the opposite of baseball. In baseball the saying goes great pitching and defense beats great hitting. In basketball great offensive players find ways to score even against great defensive teams.

The pistons can’t afford to be average against cleveland, they can’t waste posessions. I know it was only one game, but I am really, really happy that it doesn’t look like we will have to play cleveland in the second round. I want no part of Lebron especially if we are going to have any hope of having the energy to beat boston in the conference finals.

it was strange that jon barry (who’s actually a lot better as a color guy than i expected) kept going on and on and on about how many bad possessions cleveland was having. meanwhile, the stones were continually down eight, had nothing going in the paint, got zero easy shots, etc.

also, i hate what theo ratliff was doing last night.

we need sheed to average 20 and establish himself in the paint to beat cleveland or boston.
