Your NBA champions

DVR is challenging for inclusion among the top three things in my life (currently: Courtney, Taco Bell, Red Bull.) I fell asleep before the end of the Spurs-Suns game but I just jammed the fourth quarter in about fifteen minutes (it’s amazing how much time is spent on timeouts and commercials.)

The Suns had a solid four point lead with a little under a minute left, when Mike Finley hit a huge three and Steve Nash answered with two horrible possession. Suddenly the Spurs are up three, when Amare gets a bucket and 1. Clanks it, game time.

All of this without Tony Parker. If the Spurs are healthy coming into the playoffs and they’re not your pick to win the title, you’re crazy. They just win.

They’re beatable, but they’re the team to beat.

I know you didn’t get to see it because you live in Boston, but the stones had a huge victory last night against the Lake Show. Once again they let some questionable officiating get under their skin (rip, chauncey, and dyss all had tech’s) and they blew an early 17 point lead but they got major contributions from the bench. Stuckey looked awesome to start the 4th quarter, completely turned the momentum in the game around. Amir had 9 boards and a couple blocks I believe and they overcame 39 from Kobe.

thank you kenny! it was a solid game, despite the fact that the starters played weak for the last 5 min. of the first half and the dismal 3rd quarter. I think the pistons started taking too many jump shots, they just looked old in that way. Maxiell played well on kwame although rather sporadic, but sheed played even stronger, dominating kwame. i’m more worried when the lakers get bynum back.

stuckey had a sick drive the lane dunk.

granted lakers had 20 turnovers in the first half.

jerry get league pass its now only 99 coneydogs.

    i’m loving the stuckey love.

Spurs better start winning some road games so they don’t miss the playoffs, i’m being serious. They are obviously the favorite if healthy but thats a big IF. A few nagging injuries and they will get tossed out in the first round of the brutal west.

Big story in the NBA right now to me is the Jazz. Has kyle korver really been a difference maker? They are on a tear since that deal, i’m not sure if they’ve had a weak schedule or if they just really need a sharpshooter.

    eeeeeeeeeeee stuckey!

i was going to get league pass but then i was told the guy would have to come to my house to reconfigure my cable box. what the hell? why is so hard?

stuckey is probably the best 10th man in the league.

regarding utah, yeah, they’ve beaten some struggling teams (SAS, Houston) and some brutal teams, but that’s what you have to do: you have to win the games you’re supposed to win. they also beat orlando on the road (i think) and that’s no joke anymore.

utah’s roster means they should be a good team. in terms of best starting fives, i think dwill, boozetown, okur, ak47, brewcrew challenges the pistons for best in the league. (i probably give the stones a slight edge because of brewer’s youth.)

anyway, i don’t think it’s super surprising they’re on a tear. teams need a kick in the ass sometimes, and i’m a damn good coach.

(i was wrong, the orlando win was at home. still, they beat a good team.)

also, millsap, korver and that white guy who used to play for philly (not korver, the other white guy who used to play for philly and can shoot) are three solid bench guys with some skill.

interesting, another comcast screwup. we didn’t need our cable box adjusted, we just called, and it worked… sort of…eventually worked, which is about all i can ask from comcast.
