Irrational discourse

I’m as tired of the talk as much as any non-Patriots fan, probably more so because I live in Boston. It’s going to be a long two weeks.

That being said, a lot of people (one of whom is my brother) seem to feel that the Patriots actually aren’t that good, or that they’re not having a historic season unlike any since we’ve been alive. Which is just crazy. They’re 18-0. In the NFL. That just doesn’t happen.

Annoying or not, they’re playing at a level unparalleled by any team over the last twenty years. One could make a comparison to Tiger Woods or Roger Federer I suppose, but that’s about it since I’ve been watching sports.

nobody said the patriots aren’t good. it is just that they also do not want to support the team that pretty much functions as a joykiller for anybody who watches football to be entertained. show some personality, please. i have an entire week of horrible public relations stories to sit through.

I disagree. I’m not a patriots fan but they are the most entertaining team in the NFL to watch because of their precision and execution. On top of that, while the patriots have great talent, its not as if they have a giant talent advantage over other teams they are playing in the playoffs, they just out execute everyone and use the places where they do have an advantage better than anyone else in the league. There is something beautiful about watchint he patriots play and i think it’d be a shame to hate on them too much.

Back when the bulls were dominating the NBA i was able to see MJ”s brillance yet hate him all the while because i was a pistons fan and there was just no room for loving the bulls. But, its not like as a lions fan i have any direct reason to dislike the patriots so i guess i’m in the minority of non patriot fans who wants them to win the super bowl, has wanted them to win every game and loves watching them play because of their brilliance.
