Bomani Jomes has good points here. I can’t believe how little I’ve heard about this story.

Terrible choice of words, but watching the video clip of the lady i do think she is just a moron and wasn’t intentionally trying to be racist. It wasn’t a thought out sentence but more of a reaction to the comments of someone else, she kind of finishes a sentence for another dude. Still i agree, worst choice of words possible and she should be fired.
It seems to me beyond all the fame, money and the hot ass wife (she surely would make things easier), it could be difficult to be tiger woods. Being the most famous golfer and the first very famous black golfer is an interesting situation and i think he handles most things with class and dignity and is a great role model. Its weird, his reaction to a situation like this is huge news, its almost like he should discuss what his reaction shoudl be with some PR person or something becasue everything he says is so scrutinized. I don’t know where i’m trying to go with this, just that it has to be difficult to be the face of change and difficult to represent an entire group and not just yourself in everything you say or do.
tiger’s probably the most famous american in the world right now isn’t he? maybe bush is more famous. regardless, he’s incredibly famous. but, you’re right, how do you respond to something like that?
i agree, she didn’t seem hostile, but it’s not like lynching is used in any other context—in america it’s been almost exclusively used to terrorize black people. it’s hard for me to say SHE SHOULD BE FIRED—because what the hell do i know—but that’s such a huge error in judgment.
