Tough day for the maize and blue

I watched my first and only Michigan basketball game of the year today.

The people tell me that Wisco is strong, but there is no way that any team with its back against the wall should come out and put up 34 points. In the entire game. 34 points.

That being said, they only lost by 17: 51-34. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a basketball game with a final score like that that didn’t involve middle schoolers.

Maybe they had to play without the shot clock? No, I think I would have noticed.

How are they going to replace that completion percentage?

Ryan Mallett is leaving Michigan for pro-style offensive pastures. I’m not sold on the RichRod era, but this doesn’t bother me.

Speaking of football coaches

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it one more time—-RichRod lost his last game at West Virginia (a game that would have put his team in the national title game) to a horrible football team. He was outcoached by Dave Wannstedt. Isn’t this a bad sign? Wasn’t the point that Michigan needed a guy who would elevate his talent for big games?
