We’re not just a sailing school

I went to my first Boston College basketball game a couple of days ago—an 81-52 romp over Longwood.

I follow sports pretty closely, but I had never heard of Longwood (University, as it turns out) until I received tickets for the game.

Important information about LU:
–Future (now former) Blazer Jerome Kersey went there
–Located in Farmville, Virginia
–”sits on 60-plus acres in the gently rolling Virginia piedmont”

Now if only I knew what the Virginia piedmont was.
