Ryan Mallett is leaving Michigan for pro-style offensive pastures. I’m not sold on the RichRod era, but this doesn’t bother me.

at first i was confused….mallet’s rating was 105, which is about double kitna’s, but then i realized that tebow’s was over 200.
UofM should keep mallet for the basketball team. He’s big, and they let anyone shoot 3s.

Michigan really needs tyrelle pryor. If they don’t get him, we’ll see steven threet starting at qb. He transferred after merely a semester at georgia tech to be closer to home. He was a 4 star recruit, has freshman eligibility and is another pro style qb who doens’t really fit into the spread as a runner. I heard some rumblings from some sources that mallett was not a shoe in to start over threet if carr had not retired anyways. Sorta interesting. I think Threet was the 9th ranked QB on rivals in 07.
Anyways, Pryor would probably be our second best basketball player also next season. He’s an amazing athlete.

You’ve never heard of pryor or threet? If you haven’t heard of pryor you must really pay no attention to recruiting. He’s rivals #1 rated player, was the MVP of the Army All american game, is a top 25 basketball recruit and would like to play both sports in college. He’s a dual threat QB in the mold of vince young, tall and fast and elusive but with some questiosn about his passing ability. His recruitment to michigan was reopened when rodriguez was hired and its likely coming down to michigan or OSU.
Threet is probably who you are talking about. He was in his transfer year this season so obviously could not see the field, i’d expect rodriguez to find some more sleeper type dual threat qb’s to fill out michigan’s recruiting class this season but looking through the lists he will probably have to steal someone away from another school or just pray he gets pryor.

ohhhhh… that pryor. yeah, love that dude, love him. go big blue.
(i can’t remember the last time i heard something about a football recruit. i follow basketball recruiting a little bit, but a lot less since i barely watch the college game and they stopped letting high schoolers jump to the L.)
